The Coromandel Peninsula was worked for gold, kauri gum and timber a century ago - today it is best known for it's rugged beauty amongst Parks and Mountain Ranges, and along the coastline - and it's history, treks and famous hot water spring on the sands at Hot Water Beach. Look for the Pub Crawl on Horseback and Game Fishing. This is a very scenic route, following the coastline to Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty.
